Non-EU Researchers
The relevant legislation is Royal Decree 2393/2004, of 30 December, which approves Organic Law 4/2000, of 11 January, governing the rights, freedoms and social integration of foreign nationals in Spain.
Independently of the provisions of international covenants signed by Spain, foreign nationals wishing to enter Spain must comply with the following:
Enter via suitable entry points
Have the following documentation:
A valid passport or travel document that accredits identity.
Where appropriate, a valid visa not subject to any explicit prohibitions.
The specific documents required by law that justify the reason and conditions of their stay in Spain.
Evidence of having the means of financing their stay or, as appropriate, prooof that they can legally obtain these means.
Not being dangerous for the public health, public order, national security or international relationships of Spain or other States related to spain in this context.
