What to do once in Catalonia

PRE-INSCRIPTION

What should I do once in Catalonia? In order to enter the first year of university studies at any of Catalonia's seven public universities you will have to complete a university pre-inscription application. This can be done through the internet: accesnet.gencat.net.

The university pre-inscription system is a coordinated system for allocating students to universities, aimed at guaranteeing equal conditions in the admissions process for first year studies. This system is not applicable to 2nd cycle studies.

In completing the university pre-inscription form, you have a choice of up to 8 study centres, which you should order according to preference. You can also simultaneously apply to private or distance universities, or to universities in other parts of Spain, although you may only register for studies at one centre.

Where do I pre-inscribe? This can be done over the Internet at: accesnet.gencat.net . Or in person at:

University of Barcelona Admissions Guidance Office.
Plaça Bonsuccés 5-6. 08001 Barcelona.
Tel: . 93 223 03 23/ 93 223 25 91
