Funding and Grants

Obtaining funds to finance studies in no easy task. This is particularly the case when it is a question of obtaining funding adapted to a particular profile, as requirements tend to vary depending on the source of funding and the aim of the grant. It is important to be aware, well beforehand, of the documentation to be presented, so as to ensure that you meet the deadline for applications.

This section is intended to facilitate the process of locating funds for studies and research.

Grants and Funding. Agency for the Management of University and Research Grants (AGAUR).

In its website, AGAUR provides information on AGAUR programmes aimed at fostering scientific, technical and humanistic research. AGAUR offers grants and subsidies for human resource development, research infrastructure improvements and for other activities aimed at developing and publicising research.

It also has programmes for funding university studies - in the form of grants, subsidies, loans and other forms of finance - so as to ensure equal opportunities in terms of admission to third-level studies.

The information is presented in two sections:

• Grants and funding programmes aimed at assisting undergraduate student pay for their studies
• Programmes aimed at fostering academic research and improving the quality of academic teaching.

Grants and Funding. Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation (FCRI).

The Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation (FCRI), through the Attracting Scientific Talent to Catalonia portal, provides access to a complete and up-to-date database on grants, funding, awards, prizes and subsidies aimed at researchers and students who wish to broaden their studies or carry out research in Catalonia, Spain or abroad. These programmes are offered by both public and private bodies.

Access to the database is free, although you need to register to obtain access to the information it contains.
