Tourism in Catalonia

Catalonia, with a population of over six million people, has over one thousand years of history and its own unique language and culture. It has historically had important industrial and productive sectors, which has ensured a high standard of living and high indices of progress and initiative in the region. This has been particularly evident in the area of the sciences and applied sciences, in fields such as medicine, law, chemistry, engineering, linguistics, agriculture, livestock farming, food processing, navigation, tourism, and all kinds of services.

 

 

Catalonia, with its many resources and leisure options, is a very popular tourist destination. Catalan history and traditions have left a rich cultural legacy, marked by the artistic styles of a number of important epochs: Modernism, Romanticism, Gothic, etc.

Catalonia also offers wide diversity in terms of nature areas, gastronomy, adventure sports, active tourism, health farms, etc, all of which make it a highly attractive and interesting tourist destination.
